Independence Status, Communication and Mobilization Profiles of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims

Introduction: Hajj is a worship that dominated by physical activity, so it very important for pilgrim who will perform the pilgrimage to ensure he ready and physically fit in addition spiritual readiness.
 Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 720 data of prospective pilgrims from 5 embarkations (Sumatra, Central Java (DIY), East Java, Makassar, Pondok Gede) which were taken using randomized sampling method.
 Results: In this study, found age distribution mostly over 60 years old, able carry out activities daily life well (85%) independently. Most subjects needed assistance during mobilization (91%) although their cardiorespiratory endurance showed good results (above 4 METS).
 Conclusions: This indicates possibility musculoskeletal disorders most hinder independence mobilization. Therefore, check function before performing pilgrimage, rehabilitation program can be carried determination right tools implementation optimally. Guidance aspects functional ability waiting
